Watermelon Day: The Juiciest Event of the Summer!
Get ready to slice into one of the sweetest days of the season — Watermelon Day at the Enterprise Farmers Market is back on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. to noon!
It’s the juicy event you’ve been waiting for, with:
Watermelon-themed contests
Fresh produce
Handcrafted goods
Cool, refreshing treats
… and plenty of mouthwatering melon to go around!
Whether you’re shopping for the freshest peak-season produce or just looking to enjoy some fun in the sun, Watermelon Day has something for everyone. Over 30 local vendors will open at 7 a.m., offering cantaloupes, tomatoes, peaches, plums, and handmade crafts like jewelry, woodwork, and soaps.
The star of the show? Watermelon, of course — with juicy samples, snow cones, and lemonade to keep you cool while you shop!
The fun kicks off at 8 a.m. with a welcome ceremony featuring:

Compete and Join the Fun!
8:30 a.m. – Biggest Watermelon Contest
Bring your biggest melon and compete for the grand prize — and bragging rights!
9:00 a.m. – Seed-Spitting Contest
Five age divisions! Past winners have reached 30 feet — can you beat that?
10:00 a.m. – Watermelon Rolling Contest
All ages welcome! Compete to see who can roll their melon the farthest and fastest.
11:00 a.m. – Watermelon Eating Contest
Ready, set, eat! It’s messy, fast, and oh-so-fun. Age divisions start at 6 and up!
Contest sign-ups begin at 8 a.m. — jump in and get involved!
